SAB Applications
On the 1st May 2018 the Welsh Minister signed the Commencement Order for Schedule 3 of the Flood and Water Management Act 2010. This brought the schedule into force on the 7th January 2019.
What does this mean?
All developments greater than a single property or development over the threshold of 100 square metres will require SAB approval.
SAB stands for SuDS Approving Body.
Coordination with the SAB needs to take place from the pre-application stage to ensure the suitability of a proposed SuDs design is in line with national standards, adequate site layout and ultimately SAB approval.
Note, this process is separate from the planning application process but can run concurrently with it Sanderson Associates has coordinated SAB pre-applications for developments of all sizes. We provide this service for sites throughout Wales.
